Amelia Whateley (Folk Fauna) is a mixed media illustrator who works primarily in watercolour and coloured pencil. Her passion for local folklore, wildlife conservation and slow living shines through in her illustrations. Her work often depicts the natural landscape of the British Isles, as well as mischievous folklore characters inspired by her upbringing near Dartmoor National Park.

She studied her BAHons in illustration at the University of Gloucestershire, where she had not only industry-leading training and access to a state-of-the-art traditional print room but also the inspiring landscape of the Cotswolds, where her passion for nature illustration only grew.

Amelia is passionate about inspiring the next generation of nature enthusiasts through her fantastical children's illustrations.

Alongside her illustration work, Amelia sells prints on her Etsy shop titled ‘Folk Fauna’ as well as selling a range of illustrated goods at local markets.
